Clio Rally Project
Design of David Planas car, driver who opts to win the 2024 Aragon rally season.
Since he was 8 years old, David Planas had clear what his goal was, with the control of his radio-control in hand and his fascination for everything related to engines, gasoline and speed the goal was clear: to become a rally driver.
Through Sasar.es as the main sponsor and after several months producing content for networks along with David, the possibility of designing the livery of his Clio RS for the 2024 Aragon rally season comes through. A design that serves as a showcase for the companies that support David in his adventure, but retaining the agile and aggressive aesthetics of a racing car.
The project posed a number of difficulties from the get go, from not having access to the car at the time of making the design to not owning specialized tools to adapt flat designs to the unique topology of the Renault Clio. For this purpose we used the content manager of the popular driving simulator Assetto Corsa, which allowed us to have a solid starting point when visualizing what the design would look like once finalized, as well as providing a fairly accurate reference of the scale and proportions of the different parts that make up the bodywork.
