Celda By Mazmorra

At Socio.Studio, we see packaging as a silent storyteller: an object that not only wraps, but also communicates, suggests, and builds imagery. With Celda, this principle became stronger than ever. The challenge was not only to explain the idea behind Celda, but to make it tangible. It had to be breathed into every texture, every finish, every production decision. With such a resounding narrative universe, it was essential to avoid clichés and build a visual system that reinforced its enclosed, direct, and almost harsh atmosphere.

The value of finishes

We developed comprehensive and cohesive packaging: labels, caps, and boxes, each piece forming part of the same narrative ecosystem.
We used papers that evoke rough, cold, or metallic surfaces, directly inspired by the materials found in a prison cell. We applied techniques such as stamping, creating contrast between gloss and opacity and generating a finish reminiscent of industrial plates. We designed a numbered manual labeling system that reinforces the idea of a unique product, almost as if it were inventoried, adding a handcrafted touch to a universe that, by concept, is harsh and structured.

A conceptual packaging project

Working at Celda has been an opportunity to demonstrate how materials, when chosen and applied with intention, can become a powerful narrative tool. It is one of those projects that reminds us why design has the ability to excite even before opening the box.
