We’ve won the Anuaria de Oro award!

Here at Socio Studio®, we believe in processes that defy absolute control. That’s why, when the Blanc! Festival trusted us with the creation of the opening titles for its 17th edition, we knew we had to go a step beyond conventional design. Today, that experimental journey has paid off: we have been awarded the 2025 Anuaria de Oro Prize.

These awards, organised by Veredictas Excellence Standards, are one of the leading benchmarks in graphic design in Spain, and to have this project recognised with the top prize in the Motion Graphics category is, for us, a validation of our approach to digital design.

A project born from code and ‘error’

The starting point was the visual identity created by Coding Systems under the concept ‘Unfinished by Design’. Our mission was to bring life and movement to an open and collaborative graphic proposal.

How did we do it?

Sound Synchronisation: We designed grey-scale animations that responded to the melody, percussion and bass of the track
The power of the script: We used a script developed in Processing to post-process thousands of frames, transforming the grey values into patterns of white, black and green.
Digital craftsmanship: The result was not automatic. It was a laborious process of assembling layer by layer in After Effects, seeking the perfect texture and embracing error and visual exploration.

Diseño con alma experimental

Seeing our work showcased at the Blanc! Festival (Vilanova i la Geltrú), sharing the stage with figures such as Stefan Sagmeister, was a reward itself. But receiving this Golden Anuaria reinforces our commitment to Socio Studio’s Lab: that space where we allow ourselves to experiment with more experimental design to achieve unique visual solutions.

We would like to thank the organisers of the Blanc! Festival for the total creative freedom they gave us, and Veredictas for this recognition, which we share with our entire team and collaborators.

Design is never finished, but milestones like this motivate us to keep exploring the unfinished.
